Saadia was considerably more pessimistic in evaluating the period of April - May 1952. During this time more arrests of Zionist activists followed (after the arrests of Heshomer Hatzair - informers 30 Heshomer Hatzair who deserted for communism) For example 52 young men, many who were affiliated with Bnei Akiba, were arrested by the Alexandrian police. The police apprehended them for interrogatory carried out in one Alexandria's female schools. With the exception of a dozen men, the activists were released immediately.
