Cairo. 8.12.51. Dear Dr. François. It was with much interest that I received your last letter - of 29.11.57. I was very much interested in the news about Dr. Dewey and his clinical researches. I would be very glad to work for some time as his assistant. It happens that I was recently reading about electro- cardiography in some of the recent American periodicals & would like to see actual clinical demonstrations in this growing branch of medecine. It seems that our American colleagues are making good progress in this respect. Taking in consideration my responsibilities regarding my practice in Cairo I would prefer that the period of the intended research should not exceed one month for a maximum.
